Keep updated with all the latest kiwi announcements.
While enjoying your Kiwi dip, you can also relax knowing that you are helping keep the original Kiwi, the bird that is, safer over these summer months.
For the third year in a row, Nestlé is working with the BNZ Save the Kiwi Trust reminding holiday goers to keep an eye on their pets this summer. Over the summer period, dog attacks on Kiwis greatly increase in holiday hot-spots. In Northland alone, 78% of Kiwi deaths are caused by dogs.
Executive director of the BNZ Save the Kiwi Trust, Michelle Impey, says many of our favorite holiday spots are close to natural kiwi habits and we need to keep our dogs on a leash and away from these areas.
“Many dog owners say ‘my dog would never do that,’ but any dog can and will kill Kiwi, no matter how well-trained it may be. Our partnership with Nestlé is vital to the Trust’s success and we are hugely grateful for their help in getting the message out their as well as the generous financial contribution they make to our operations.”
Nestlé Corporate Services Manager Maurice Gunnell, says “Supporting the BNZ Save the Kiwi Trust was and it is on behalf of the many Kiwi holiday makers who we know enjoy our Original Kiwi Onion Dip.
The Original Kiwi Dip is so distinctly New Zealand, we only ask that they share this message with others and keep their own dogs close at hand so we can protect kiwis.”
“Nestlé NZ has been making the Dip for over 30 years, and want to celebrate everything Kiwi by giving away these bowls,” says Mr Gunnell.
By combining NESTLÉ Reduced Cream and MAGGI Onion Soup, the Original Kiwi Dip is made. There are four specially designed Kiwiana-themed Kiwi Dip bowls displaying New Zealand Landmarks, Icons, Nature and Past Times.
