Dogs: A potential threat to kiwi, and, kiwi habitat in a pine forest
Take action to help save kiwi – If you live near or visit places where wild kiwi still survive, there are many things you can do to help protect these special birds.

If you own a dog, always keep it on a lead. Cat owners can help kiwi by keeping these nocturnal hunters inside at night.

There are many things that landowners, farmers and forestry managers can do to protect any kiwi on their land.

If you hunt or set traps in places kiwi live, how you go about your business has a big impact on the birds.
