Have your hunting or farm dog kiwi aversion trained before 31st August 2012 and you could win a hunting trip into the Motu valued at $1,600.

Hunting Trip to the Motu

You and a mate and four of your dogs will be flown into the Motu where you can hunt for the famous aggressive Motu boar, the elusive Motu stag, or simply spend the time sharpening your shooting skills hunting goats.  The team at Central Helicopters will ensure they fly you into a great location.  This trip includes helicopter flights in and out of the Motu, valued at $1600.

 

Find an aversion trainer in your area.

To Enter

Have one or more of your hunting dogs trained before 31st August 2012 by a “Practicing and Participating Aversion Trainer”. Simply have your dog trained and ensure that the trainer captures your contact details in their database. They will submit your entry on your behalf.

Terms & Conditions

Kiwi Aversion Training Contest Terms and Conditions

  1. Instructions on how to enter the Kiwi Aversion Training Contest ('Contest') form part of these terms and conditions. Entry into the Contest is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  2. The Contest opens on 1 May 2012 and closes at midnight, 31 August 2012 ('Contest Period'). There is one prize package ('Prize') to be won, consisting of a helicopter flight in and out of the Motu with Central Helicopters for two people and four dogs.
  3. The promoter of the Contest is the BNZ Save the Kiwi Trust ('Trust'), Level 5, 125 Queen Street, Auckland.
  4. Entry into the Contest is only open to residents of New Zealand (except employees of the Trust, any agencies associated with this competition, and their immediate family members). Entries are limited to one per person.
  5. To enter the Contest, entrants must:
    1. be dog owners who have had their dog(s) 'kiwi avoidance trained' during the Contest Period by one of the approved practising 'kiwi avoidance trainers' listed on the Trust's website; www.savethekiwi.org.nz.
  6. The winner will be drawn at random on 24 September 2012. There will be one entry per person.
  7. The Prize consists of:
    1. Helicopter flights: The helicopter flights are for two people and four dogs with Central Helicopters in and out of the Motu. The flights must be completed before 31st July 2013 and are subject to availability and any other conditions of flight imposed by Central Helicopters. Flights valued at $1,600. The winner is responsible for travel to and from Central Helicopters on Jackson Road, Opotiki.
  8. The prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash. Some components of the prize, or any component of it, may be subject to availability. If for any reason the prize to be awarded becomes unavailable, the Trust reserves the right to substitute another prize of a similar nature or value.
  9. The Trust's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  10. The winner will be notified by telephone or in writing using the details submitted in the entry form. If a winner cannot be contacted within [2] weeks of the winner being drawn, the prize will be forfeited and another winner will be drawn.  
  11. The winner agrees to be available for reasonable publicity purposes, including but not limited to, public appearances for photographs and interviews without compensation. All material produced during such promotional activities shall remain the property of the Trust.
  12. The Trust collects your information so that you can participate in the Contest. If you do not provide the information, you cannot participate. The Trust may use this information to conduct the Contest and the Trust may use personal information submitted by entrants in conjunction with publicity related to the Contest or any other Trust promotion. It may disclose this information to third parties who provide it with administrative services in this regard. It will also use the information to promote, market, and publicise the Trust or its related entities. You consent to the Trust using and disclosing your personal information. For such purposes any personal details of the entrants will be stored at the office of the Trust or its related entities. You may gain access, update or correct your information by contacting the Trust on 09 375 1084.
  13. To the extent permitted by law, the Trust, its related entities and agencies associated with the Contest, shall not be liable for:
    1. any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury which is suffered or sustained, as a result of entry, participation or use of the prize in this competition, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law; or
    2. the non-receipt of the prize for any reason whatsoever.
