Ross Halpin

Ross has been working with the trustees since June and became a trustee at the recent AGM.

In his role as National Sponsorship Manager for the Bank of New Zealand, Ross oversees the investment of the sponsorship funding provided to the Trust and is working with both Trust and BNZ stakeholders to ensure that a sustainable business model is created for the Trust going forward.

Ross, who has worked across the globe for organisations such as The Coca-Cola Company, Qantas Airways and the International Rugby Board, is a proud and passionate kiwi and is enjoying his chance to contribute to the great work being done by the Trust.

Whilst Ross’ previous board experience has occurred within the sports realm he is well-versed with the work of the Trust having been engaged by BNZ in 2005 as part of a research project team that explored the importance of kiwi to New Zealanders. Amongst the findings and actions resulting from that work was the change of the Trusts name from the BNZ Kiwi Recovery Trust to the BNZ Save the Kiwi Trust.
