Al Morrison
Al Morrison was appointed as Chief Executive and Director-General of the Department of Conservation in November 2006.

Before then he had held several general manager roles with the Department, including External Relations and Strategy and Policy.

Al joined the Department of Conservation in 2002, leaving behind a long career in journalism, in reporting, commentary and several management roles. His voice is still familiar to many Radio New Zealand listeners, who enjoyed his political analysis on National Radio from 1997 to 2002.

Al joined the BNZ Save the Kiwi Board of Trustees in 2006.
