Designing:

Design signs
:
Design some signs that could be used to alert people to the fact that kiwi are in their area. Road signs, signs for fences, on bush walks, etc., that can be used to alert people to kiwi habitats and what people should do to ensure kiwi are protected. If you have the time and resources available, create your signs using appropriate materials and install them in suitable places around your district.

Design a carrying crate for:

·         kiwi eggs.

·      kiwi about to be released into the wild.

Think about the specific needs and purpose in each case, and design your device accordingly. Consider how you might be able to test the performance of your case or crate, to determine if it is ‘fit for purpose’. Generate some criteria that could be used in this testing process. If you have the materials and time available, develop a mock up of your device.
