Derek Corporation
Derek Corporation, a privately owned family business founded in 1961, provides a comprehensive range of innovative designs to trade customers, both locally and overseas. It operates across three divisions: Derek Souvenirs, Derek Apparel and Marlborough Textiles, Derek Corporation.
Today Derek Corporation employs approximately 50 people.
In 2005, Derek Corporation produced a range of kiwi-themed products, including tee-shirts, hats, coffee mugs, tea towels, chocolate, stationery sets, soft toys, wallets and backpacks. These products, sold through tourist outlets, are clearly labelled and provide information about the Trust and what it aims to do. A percentage of sales are contributed back to Bank of New Zealand Save the Kiwi Trust.
