Kiwi Bacon
Kiwi Bacon has been proudly supplying New Zealanders with their bacon fix since 1930. The company is part of Mainland Products Limited and has factories in Hamilton, Oamaru and Longburn (near Palmerston North).
In celebration of its 75th birthday, Kiwi Bacon announced a three-year sponsorship of the Bank of New Zealand Save the Kiwi Trust. The company has had the kiwi as part of its name and brand for 75 years, so wanted to do its bit to help preserve New Zealand’s special bird.
Kiwi Bacon’s donation of $50,000 a year for three years, is helping the Trust in its work with landowners, iwi, communities and conservation groups to help the kiwi flourish once again. As well, for each of the three years, one of Kiwi Bacon’s marketing campaigns centres around the kiwi bird.
Kiwi Bacon is the first external organisation to become a major cash sponsor of the Bank of New Zealand Save the Kiwi Trust.
